Hearts and Hands

It said in Matthew 25:40: When you care for one of the least important of these, you demonstrate a love for me.

We all love this verse of scripture. Jesus was speaking to his disciples about his expectations for each one of us in doing what is right for the poor by clothing them, providing food and drink to those who are hungry and thirsty, be available and provide what is needed for those who are lonely and troubled.

That’s the least we can do in Feeding By faith.

So what makes your heart sing?

I (Michelle) know I love to cook and provide meals to those that need them. Feeding by Faith is not just about food but using the gifts we have and to show love to others for whatever their need is.

The famous words of Francis Assisi "Go preach the Gospel and if necessary use words" is quite a powerful statement.

How can we then demonstrate love to others and not be able to speak words?

In Ephesians 4:29 it tells us to let your words become beautiful gifts that encourage others. Feeding by Faith has taken this on by providing meals to those in need, including the SES during the bushfires in January/February 2020 and by showing love through our Mother's Day packages given out to all the Mums in our church family.

We have made up Care Packages that have included hygiene items, food parcels, groceries and fruit; Care Packs for those that are struggling with messages of love and hope in them; Easter bags with the true message of Easter in them were given out to our church families; Our Mission Bags went to each of you to keep you informed and updated of the plans that God has for us in the future, giving us hope and a future that we can only find in him.

Where could feeding by faith go in Ephesians 5:15? This verse tells us to take full advantage of every day as you spend your life for his purpose. I believe doors will open and opportunities will be given to us to do great things through this ministry. I love that we are here in this church in Penrith. This is our mission field. This church cares. We love God, and we love on people that we want to go into our world here in the Penrith community and build a creative environment.

Feeding by Faith brings the hope of Jesus to his people.
