Prayer at Penrith

A house of prayer

Here at Penrith, prayer is an important part of who we are.

We have plenty of opportunities for you to get involved, to pray with us or to be prayed for.

“Pray continually” — the overarching instruction

The clearest biblical guidance is that prayer is meant to be a constant posture, not an occasional activity.

  • 1 Thessalonians 5:17 — “Pray without ceasing.”
  • Ephesians 6:18 — “Pray in the Spirit on all occasions.”

This doesn’t mean nonstop talking; it means living in ongoing awareness of God, turning to Him repeatedly throughout the day.
